December 2024
Dear Community Partner,
Mechanicsville Little league has been providing the boys and girls of our community with the opportunity to enjoy baseball and softball for over 50 years. As a league, we take great pride in fostering an environment where our children can learn the values of teamwork, structure, the results of hard work, and facing the challenges of competition, all while developing a love of the game. We also offer a Challenger division for special needs youth to give them the opportunity to play baseball, and attend the Jamboree held annually in May in Virginia Beach.
Today, the league owns a 26 acre baseball/softball facility that includes 10 lighted fields, 5 batting cages, and a full service concession stand. The expense of maintaining this facility falls squarely on the shoulders of the league, as we receive no financial support from Hanover County or other entities. Player fees, donations, and concession stand proceeds are used to offset annual operating expenses, while money raised through corporate sponsorships is targeted for facility improvements needed to keep our facility as one of the best in the RVA area.
As we wrap up our 2024 season, we are beginning to look at our list of capital improvements around the complex and we have many on the list. Your generous donations are what allows us to complete many of these projects each year. We truly thank you for your generosity!
We are a 501c3 non profit organization of volunteers, and on behalf of our Board of Directors and 900+ players, we thank you for your time and consideration of this opportunity. We hope to include your company with our family of community sponsors as we continue our proud tradition of Little League Baseball and Softball in Mechanicsville.
Thank you,
Chris Chappell
